Donor-Sponsored Grants*

These grants are made possible by the generosity of alumni, parents and friends of Carroll University. The generous donors who provide grant assistance for Carroll students are investing in your future. Generations of Carroll students have benefited from this type of generosity. 

Annual Amount: Varies 
Qualifications: Granted to students who file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), demonstrate financial need, maintain SAP Standards and are registered full-time (12+ credits/semester).

State Grants

Wisconsin Grant (formerly WI Tuition Grant)**

Annual Amount: Up to $4,100 
Qualifications: Wisconsin resident who files the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), demonstrates financial need and maintains SAP Standards. Awarded by Wisconsin Higher Education Aids Board to students enrolled at least half-time. Grant eligibility will not exceed 10 semesters.

Wisconsin Talent Incentive Program Grant (TIP)

Annual Amount: Up to $1,800 
Qualifications: Wisconsin resident who files the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), demonstrates exceptional financial need and maintains SAP Standards. Awarded by Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (Wisconsin Educational Opportunity Programs) to students enrolled full-time. Students must have received TIP as a freshman to continue eligibility.

Wisconsin Indian Grant

Annual Amount: Up to $1,100 
Qualifications: Wisconsin resident who files the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), demonstrates financial need and maintains SAP Standards. Grant eligibility will not exceed 10 semesters. Applicant must be at least 1/4 American Indian. Contact your tribal office to see if you qualify.

Wisconsin Handicapped Grant

Annual Amount: Up to $1,800 
Qualifications: Wisconsin resident who files the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), demonstrates financial need, maintains SAP Standards and is deaf, hard of hearing or visually handicapped. Awarded by Wisconsin Higher Education Aids Board to students enrolled at least half-time. Grant eligibility will not exceed 10 semesters.

Wisconsin Minority Grant

Annual Amount: Up to $2,500 
Qualifications: Wisconsin resident who files the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), demonstrates financial need, maintains SAP Standards, has at least sophomore standing and considered a minority per the state's definition. Awarded by the Director of Financial Aid based upon limited funding. Grant eligibility will not exceed 10 semesters.

Wisconsin DVR Grant

 - If you receive assistance, please notify the Financial Aid Office.

Qualifications: Wisconsin resident. The Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) selects the recipients. Contact your nearest DVR office.

Wisconsin Academic Excellence Scholarship*

Annual Amount: Up to $2,250 
Qualifications: Wisconsin resident attending Wisconsin college or university. Student must maintain 3.0 GPA while in college. Recipients are selected by their high schools. Contact your high school guidance office for more information.

Federal Grants

Federal Pell Grants

Annual Amount: Up to $7,395 
Qualifications: Students who file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), maintain SAP Standards and demonstrate eligibility determined by the U.S. Department of Education.

Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)

Annual Amount: Up to $800 
Qualifications: Students who file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), maintain SAP Standards and demonstrate exceptional need. Awarded by the Financial Aid Office to students enrolled at least half-time.

Federal Teach Grant

Annual Amount: Up to $4,000 
Qualifications: Students who file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), maintain SAP Standards and agree to teach in a high-need field at a low income school for at least 4 years. For those that don't complete the teaching requirements, the grant will be converted to a Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan. The Financial Aid Office will contact you if you are eligible.
