Wondering how your contributions help students through the Guardian Angel Fund? Here are a couple of examples:
Student could not register for Spring classes because she was unable to pay Fall bill. Student had extensive financial struggles within family. Mom had a medical condition which limited her ability to work. In previous years, mother was able to co-sign for loans and had planned to do again; however, when they applied they were denied. With help of Guardian Angel Fund, she was able to register for Spring and she plans to graduate in May. Student works on campus and serves on many campus organizations!
Student and her family were dealing with a financial hardship. She had borrowed private loans with her grandfather as the co-signer for her first two years of college. For 12-13, grandfather could no longer be a cosigner. She did try other cosigners, but no one else had good enough credit. Mom was laid off from current job and father is was in an alcohol rehab facility (with no job). Student supports herself and pays for all of her expense.
Student works on campus and over the summer to save as much as she can. Student is currently registered for full-time with plans to graduate in May.
