GRC320-AIntro to Multimedia Production
Course Description: This Web Design course will teach you HTML, HTML 5, and Cascading Stylesheets (CSS). Discover the power of CSS3's media queries to target various devices and resolutions, including mobile, tablet, and desktop browsers. Learn how to extract Photoshop content for use in your designs, insert it with modern HTML5, and control it with a variety of CSS3 techniques. It is aimed at complete beginners to the subject, and assumes you have no knowledge of creating web pages. The course focus application is Adobe Dreamweaver CC. Adjunct faculty should have a MFA/MA/MS in web design or similar field with experience.

GRC340Digital Video II
Course Description: Digital Flash Gaming will provide students with a hands-on introduction to interactive design. The course will focus on design methods and design thinking, and will allow students to develop their design sensibilities and practical skills through a series of design exercises utilizing Adobe Flash. The course will cover individual ideation techniques; Outlining, wireframing, and Flash animations; prototyping approaches, tools, and techniques; and contemporary perspectives on interaction design for common platforms (e.g., web, desktop, tablet, mobile, and beyond). The course will combine readings, lectures, and in-class exercises to convey and reinforce the intellectual content. In-class discussions will rely heavily on concrete examples that are analyzed and critiqued by students and instructors alike, and are used to illustrate and reinforce the course content. The course focus application is Adobe Flash and Adobe Dreamweaver. Adjunct faculty should have a MFA/MA/MS in web design, UX/UI or similar field with experience.

GRC360-ADigital Flash Gaming
Course Description: Course lectures challenge you to think about different storytelling conventions in narrative and documentary movie-making and address the fundamentals of sound recording. You'll script and storyboard short movie sequences and develop an understanding of the various roles in the video post-production process. Course projects include filming, a camera perspective study, a shot analysis, studies in shot types and camera motion. Projects include an instructional video, a silent movie, a documentary short, and a final short story. The course focus applications are Adobe Premier and Adobe After Effects CC. Adjunct faculty should have a MFA/MA/MS in video or similar field with experience.

Course Description: In this class, we will dive into modern web UI design. You will learn the various components of user interface design for the web, as well as how to make informed decisions about which types of UI design elements to choose when designing a website. The course will cover effective layouts for site pages, as well best practice options for navigation, search, registration/account management, A to B testing, and wearable design techniques. You'll learn how to define the real needs and goals of your target audience, determine the range of required features & functionality of a given concept, and develop a style that communicates a relationship with the end user. Adjunct faculty should have a MFA/MA/MS in web design or digital media or similar field with experience.
