Members of the PAAL Leadership Team provide mentoring for students and disseminate information to assist with campus wide advising-related efforts in support of faculty and professional Academic Advisors.
PAAL Leaders assist students by:
Facilitating 'Advising Warm-Up Sessions'
Providing walk-in assistance to any student who comes into the Center
Making appropriate referrals across campus
Creating individual academic four-year plans for any major/minor/emphasis
Providing advising and registration assistance for students
Members of the PAAL Academic Mentorship Program are student volunteers who provide mentoring for first year students under the supervision of the PAAL Leadership Team.
PAAL Academic Mentors assist first year students with:
Preparing for advising and registration
Connecting with appropriate faculty and staff as questions arise
Navigating through my.carrollu.edu web portal and other academic resources
Understanding academic curriculum, policies and procedures
Answering academic questions from a student perspective
