Italy: Leadership Theory and Practice

Students spent the semester exploring the cultural differences between Italy and the United States, then investigated the various dimensions of leadership in the Italian cities of Milan and Rome, improving cross-cultural communication and leadership skills. They engaged in cross-cultural interaction throughout the immersion experience, including exploring the local community individually and in small groups, shopping, meals out, and visiting an area elementary school and university. Several members of Carroll’s football team participated, practicing and playing a game of American football with the Italian Guelfi Firenze team. Additionally, they served the local community with a youth American football clinic involving the Italian Guelfi Firenze team and local youth.
