Finance Minor

The 16-credit finance minor introduces you to business-related terminology and concepts that can be applied to a variety of careers. Gaining a general understanding of the principles of finance provides you with a unique skillset that can be utilized in your professional career as well as your personal life.

You’ll complete two required courses that familiarize you with business-related terminology and concepts. There you’ll discuss topics such as the global perspective of business, environmental issues, current business practices, the impact of the internet on business and much more. Additionally, you’ll select from courses about topics such as risk management, investment management and the management of financial institutions. 

This minor pairs well with a variety of majors, and in particular majors such as Accounting and Actuarial Science.
