Opportunities for Non-Music Majors

Music is for everyone at Carroll University. Whether you want to play or sing in an ensemble, learn guitar, piano, or voice in a classroom setting, take private lessons, or learn about the history of rock, jazz, classical, or electronic music, you'll find what you're looking for!

University Ensembles

Carroll University's performing ensembles are open to everyone regardless of major. In fact, most of our ensembles are primarily composed of non-music majors.

Methods Courses

If you've always wanted to learn guitar, piano, or voice in a classroom setting, try one of our music methods courses.

Private Lessons

If you want advanced one-on-one instruction with an expert on your instrument, we can provide weekly half-hour or hour lessons with our applied music faculty, each an active and respected professional performer.

General Interest Music Courses

The music program offers courses on the history of jazz, rock, classical, and electronic music. No musical background is required, and the courses satisfy a fine arts general education requirement.

Music Lockers

Music lockers are available for a small fee.
