What is your teaching style?

I enjoy engaging in small group conversation with students. It helps me to really get to know the students more individually and to get insights into their thoughts regarding current classroom topics. I believe students all have the knowledge, so I try to help them realize they can speak up and be confident!

Why do you do what you do?

I want the students I teach to have the passion for the population of individuals physical therapist work with and to take ownership in their work.

How do you make learning engaging?

I try different technology such as Kahoot quizzes and Poll Everywhere to help even those who are quiet to have a voice. Using some of these tools is just plain fun, builds comradery and helps me to ease anxiety and stress in the classroom.

What should students know about you?

I have an easy going personality, but still have expectations that I want students to grow and learn in the classroom on their journey to becoming a physical therapist. Also, I know and can relate to those moments of struggle as I went through the same program.
